Mrs. Gurbaxani is a trained artist, obtaining her degree in painting from the Birla Academy of Art and Culture in Kolkata after working in British Airways for some years . After her degree she did a number of solo exhibitions and then shifted her attention to teaching children the joy of art. Presently, she is a freelancer and occasionally does exhibitions in Kolkata. One unique feature of the artist is that she doesn’t use paintbrushes and al her artwork has been done using a spatula knife.
