Art Vault India
Yes, we have a special section for Artists called as Artist registration on portal that helps NEW Artists register and sell on Artvault.co.in. Fill up a simple form with your basic details – your bio data, statement of work and five sample images with pricing. Our curators will evaluate your portfolio then accepted on the site .Once you’ve submitted a registration request; A member of Art vault India team will get in touch with you for further assistance.
We evaluate your art for style, technique, vision and suitability in the market at the time that you apply. Overall, we look for artworks which are both meaningful and collectible, and we like artists who are original.
- First you would need to register to be able to sell on Artvault platform (Free Registration). Once registered you can upload your paintings/handicrafts/photography on link provided by Our Team. They would be checked by our curator, / team and once they are satisfied and your listing is meeting our minimum quality requirements the same would be live on the website (Artvault).
Note: The artworks made available for sale on the Website are not in the physical possession of ARTVAULT and are physically located anywhere in the India / world with the Seller.
We accept all kinds of paintings put at any price. Our only criteria are that they should be 100% hand painted/ ORIGINAL art. About prints is: the artist can only sell his own self made art prints and not of any other artists/ duplicate. Any artist violating this rule, would be removed immediately from our artists list/ Portal, and never be allowed to transact on our platform again
The photograph you upload of your artwork is the only reference the buyer has to the final product he or she is buying. It is essential that the image you upload truly represents of the beauty of the art you have created
Photographing your artwork is very simple. You can use any basic digital camera to photograph your work.
- Set up your artwork completely upright – stretch out a canvas or a painting against a wall; place sculptures on an even, clean, light surface. Shoot in bright, soft light and make sure your images aren’t too dark or too light. When you take a photo of your paintings or your other art, make sure that your camera is parallel to the artwork, and keep minimal space around the object you’re shooting to get a large, clear image. While shooting sculptures, shoot multiple images from different angles so a buyer can get a 360 degree view of the artwork. Please ensure that the camera flash isn’t visible in the image. It obscures the view of the artwork.
- When editing, keep it simple, and as close to the original as possible. The image should not be smaller than 1920 x 1920 pixels to ensure a good visual experience for the buyer and at least make sure you crop all edges from the image, and do not include any frames or mounts on a painting. Remember, your image needs to conform to these specifications to be accepted, to make sure you follow these guidelines while shooting and editing.
The price would be decided by Artist / craftsmen himself. There is no restriction on prices. We would add our commission/charges to the art piece that would include Our Fees, taxes extra and list your artwork. The most important thing to remember about pricing your artwork is to be consistent. A Buyer/ collector should be able to look at your collection of all your works and understand the logic behind why you have priced a certain piece at a certain rate; otherwise it will be very hard for the collector to justify the purchase to himself/herself.
If you do register with multiple sites, then please make sure:
- Your pricing must be similar across all your places of sale.
- Data suggests that the best chances you have of selling your art is by showcasing as many works of your art in our gallery catalog with us as possible. In this way buyers have more choice, and can get to know your style a little better.
- Showcasing a larger number of works helps our site analytics work for you. It will suggest your works of art to collectors who are likely to buy them.
Yes. We believe in giving you complete freedom and control over the sale of your art, so you can put up your work on multiple sites. Artist can sell on other sales channels too. However there is just one condition – whenever a sale is made on other channels of same, you would have to immediately intimate us or update the account so that the SKU artwork can removed / go out of stock from our Portal.
If the artist fails in doing so, and somebody orders the sold painting on Artvault – it would be hit on your (artist) ratings& reviews on the portal which would also hamper the brand image of the company. Repeated faults of same might consider deactivating artists account in that case. We also urge artists to inform us if they are going on a long vacation so that we can keep their paintings invisible for that period of time.
This is only to ensure that buyers don’t end up purchasing artworks that have already been sold.
