These are a series of paintings centered around the famous beach of Digha in West Bengal. There is a huge difference in painting something by seeing its photograph and by physically going to the place and then painting it. These paintings are an example of the second type of painting where the artist has personally gone to Digha and has tried to sketch its essence on the canvas. The four paintings depict various aspects of the beach- one focusing on the wooden boats characteristic of beaches whereas another focusing on the beautiful landscape. The artist had established a deep bond with the place and had lost himself within the charm of the picturesque landscape.
