In a suburb of Delhi, close to where I live, a lot of malls came up some years ago. This was an area which was previously occupied and inhabitant by poor farmers. Then came development and many farmers sold their land for a lot of money. They were uneducated and not exposed to the mall culture. When the malls opened these villagers came to see the wonders the malls offered. They had never seen stores like the ones in the malls and their sense of wonder is what I have captured in this art work.
