RISEN

There is no particular idea in my mind when I start, its just an excitement derived from nature which is transformed into my content. The idea is not to achieve a good work of art at last but to see how far I can go in my own style. I don’t try to paint abstract intentionally or take things out or reducing my work to design, form, line, and colour. I paint this way because I can keep putting more things in it- drama, anger, pain, love, a figure, a horse, a myth, my idea about space. Through the eyes of viewer it again becomes an emotion or idea. The gesture of my final work is liberation from value – political, aesthetic, moral. The way I paint never seems to make me peaceful or pure but I always seem to be wrapped up in the melodrama of perfection.
