SITA – SITAR

A Dokhra art sculpture. A folk art from Bastar in Chattisgarh.  SITA-SITAR, a woman with a sitar.  A female musician, a fusion of the forms of instrument and the resemblance of the elegant curves of the female body. A modern piece of art in the old traditional techniques and methods done in brass. The lines twists and turns produced was used in the figure modelling adding a Dokhra beauty to it.
